United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) cadres on Thursday vandalised offices of the District Coordination Committee and the Rajbiraj Municipality in Rajbiraj of Saptari district. The UDMF cadres shattered the windows of the Rajbiraj municipal office, vandalised its doors, furniture and computers, before moving on to the Committee Office. The UDMF marched towards the Committee Office in a rally, chanting slogans. There, the cadres entered the account, administration and planning section offices and resorted to vandalism. Before this, the UDMF cadres had padlocked both the offices. The damage incurred in the vandalism has been estimated to be around Rs one million, according to the employees. The UDMF cadres also padlocked the District Land Reform Office citing they did not collect revenue under the previously existing structure.
