The District Police Office (DPO) Rupandehi on Sunday filed sedition and organised crime charges against CK Raut, the coordinator of independent Madhes campaign, and seven of his supporters at the Rupandehi District Court. Police said they filed the case against Raut and his aides as they were found to be involved in attacking a police post in Marchawar, Rupan-dehi, and looting weapons. Violent clashes erupted in Marchawar on February 18 and 19 as Raut’s supporters had clashed with police during demonstrations seeking the release of Raut who was arrested in Janakpur on February 2. The protesters had made away with a self-loading rifle (SLR), a magazine, seven rounds of bullets, a teargas launcher and seven tear gas canisters from the police post during the clash. Police brought Raut from Siraha to Rupandehi on Friday as a probe showed the incident was carried out under his instruction. राजद्रोहको मुद्दा लागेका सिके राउत पुन: पक्राउ परेको छ । रुपन्देहीको मर्चवारमा उनीसहित समर्थकले फागुन पहिलो साता प्रहरी चौकीमा आक्रमण गरेर हतियार लुटेको आरोपमा उनको खोजी जारी थियो । यसअघि माघ २० मा उनी जनकपुरमा पक्राउ परेका थिए । तारेखमा छुटेका राउत फेरी पक्राउ परेका हुन् । त्यसअघि पनि उनी मुलुकलाई बिखण्डन गर्ने अभिब्यक्ति दिएको भन्दै पटक पटक पक्राउ पर्ने र छाड्ने काम हुँदै आएको छ । सिरहाबाट आएका राउतलाई हेटौडाको मनौरीबाट चैत ३१ गते बुटवल प्रहरीले पक्राउ गरेको बताइएको छ । इप्रका बुटवलका प्रमुख डिएसपी मुकुन्द मरासिनीको टोलीले उनलाई पक्राउ गरेको थियो । पक्राउ परेपछि उनलाई गुपचुप इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय बुटवलमा राखिएको थियो । आवश्यक छानविनपछि पक्राउ परेका राउतलाई आइतवार जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय रुपन्देही पुर्याइएको डिएसपी मरासिनीले बताए । उनको मुद्दा प्रक्रिया र थप अनुसन्धान जिल्ला प्रहरी रुपन्देहीले गर्ने छ ।
