Morcha cadres who reached the election office chanting slogans against the new bill to constitution amendment staged sit-in protest at the office the whole day. संयुक्त मधेशी मोर्चा तथा संघीय गठबन्धनले आइतबार जिल्ला निर्वाचन कार्यालय सिरहाको मूलगेटमा तालाबन्दी गर्नुका साथै जुलुस प्रदर्शन गरी धर्ना दिएको छ । मधेशी गठबन्धनको माग पूरा नभएसम्म कुनै पनि प्रकारको निर्वाचन हुन नदिने भन्दै उनीहरुले धर्ना र प्रदर्शन गरेका हुन् । कार्यालय खुल्नु अगावै सयौँको संख्यामा आएका प्रदर्शनकारीहरुले निर्वाचन कार्यालयका कर्मचारीलाई कार्यालय पस्न समेत दिएनन् । निर्वाचन कार्यालयका कर्मचारीलाई प्रवेश गर्न नदिएपछि कार्यालयको कामकाज समेत प्रभावित भएको जनाइएको छ । स्थानीय तह चुनावको मनोनयन दर्ताको समय नजिकिदै गरेको समयमा कार्यालयमा अवरोध हुँदा निर्वाचन कार्यतालिका समेत प्रभावित हुने कर्मचारीहरुले बताए । मधेशी मोर्चाले आइतबारदेखि नै आन्दोलनको कार्यक्रम घोषणासँग जिल्ला निर्वाचन कार्यालयहरुमा धर्ना दिन थालेपछि मधेशमा चुनाव झन अन्यौलपूर्ण बनेको स्थानीय बुदिजीविहरु बताउँछन् । त्यस्तै मधेशी मोर्चा सप्तरी सदरमुकाम राजविराजस्थित जिल्ला निर्वाचन तथा केही दिनअघि संसदमा दर्ता भएको संविधान संशोधनको नयाँ प्रस्तावविरुद्ध नाराजुलुस गर्दै निर्वाचन कार्यालयमा पुगेका मोर्चाका कार्यकर्ताले दिनभर कार्यालयमा धर्ना दिएका हुन् ।
