Cadres of Nepali Congress constituency number-1, Chitwan have padlocked their office on April 19 showing dissatisfaction against the party's move to recommend 5 out 13 names for candidature for Mayor of Khairhani Municipality. According to one of the prospective candidates Dhan Bahadur Gurung, such step of the party was against the demands of the candidates to either unanimously declare a nominee or recommend all the given names for candidacy. They also accused the regional chairperson and others of unilaterally making the decision. नेपाली कांग्रेस चितवन क्षेत्र नम्बर एकको क्षेत्रीय कार्यालयमा असन्तुष्ट कार्यकर्ताले तालाबन्दी गरेका छन् । स्थानीय तह निर्वाचन अन्तर्गत खैरहनी नगरपालिकाको मेयरमा दावी गरेकामध्ये पाँच जनाको मात्रै नाम जिल्लामा सिफारिस गरेको भन्दै असन्तुष्ट कार्यकर्ताले बुधबार कार्यालयमा तालाबन्दी गरेका हुन् । मेयर पदका लागि नगरका १३ जनाले आकांक्षा देखाउँदै इच्छापत्र जाहेर गरेका थिए । नगरमै सर्वसम्मत गर्नुपर्ने कि त सबैको नाम जिल्लामा सिफारिस गर्नुपर्ने आफुहरुको मागलाई बेवास्ता गर्दै क्षेत्रीय सभापति राजु सिलवाल, महाधिवेशन प्रतिनिधि राजेन्द्र बुर्लाकोटी लगायतले एकलौटी ढंगबाट पाँच जनाको मात्रै नाम सिफारिस गरेकाले असन्तुष्ट कार्यकर्ताले तालाबन्दी गरेको मेयरमा आकांक्षा देखाएका मध्येका धन बहादुर गुरुंगले बताए ।
