Lalitpur/May 15 The Supreme Court, on May 15, has issued a show cause order in the name of the defendants in response to a writ petition seeking annulment of the appointment of former Chief Secretary Lokman Singh Karki to the post of the Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA). A single bench of Justice Ram Kumar Prasad Sah issued the order to this effect in the name of the Office of the President, Office of the Council of Ministers, the Constitutional Council, CIAA and CIAA Chief Karki, following preliminary hearing on a writ petition filed by advocate Om Prakash Aryal on May 12. The bench also ordered that the writ be presented before a joint bench on May 26 to decide whether or not a stay order needs to be issued, after the defendants put forth their views. Advocate Aryal had in the writ petition sought that the Supreme Court issue interim order halting activities like appointing, administering of oath of office and assigning responsibilities to Karki until his petition was finalized. Online Desk ललितपुर । जेठ १ गते पूर्वमुख्यसचिव लोकमानसिंह कार्कीलाई अख्तियार दुरूपयोग अनुसन्धान आयोगका प्रमुख आयुक्तमा गरिएको नियुक्ति बदर बदर गर्न दायर निवेदनमा आज सर्वोच्च अदालतले जेठ १ गते विपक्षीका नाममा कारण देखाउ आदेश जारी गरेको छ । अधिवक्ता ओमप्रकाश अर्यालद्वारा वैशाख २९ गते दायर निवेदनमा प्रारम्भिक सुनुवाइपछि न्यायाधीश रामकुमारप्रसाद साहको एकल इजलासले राष्ट्रपतिको कार्यालय, मन्त्रिपरिषद्को कार्यालय, संवैधानिक परिषद्, आयोग र प्रमुख आयुक्त कार्कीका नाममा सो आदेश जारी गरेको हो । सो इजलासले विपक्षीहरूको रायसमेत आएपछि अन्तरिम आदेश जारी गर्ने/नगर्ने विषय जेठ १२ गते संयुक्त इजलासमा सुनुवाइका लागि पेश गर्न आदेश दिएको छ । अधिवक्ता अर्यालले संवैधानिक परिषद्को निर्णय बमोजिम उच्च नैतिक चरित्र नभएको आरोप लागेका पूर्व मुख्यसचिव कार्कीलाई आयोग प्रमुखमा नियुक्ति दिने, शपथ गराउने र जिम्मेवारी दिनेजस्ता काम आफ्नो निवेदनको टुङ्गो नलागेसम्म नगर्न/नगराउनका लागि अन्तरिम आदेश जारी गर्न माग गरेका थिए । रमेशप्रसाद तिमल्सिना
