Journalist threatened in Lalitpur

A journalist for Nagarik Daily, Shiva Hari Ghimire was threatened for publishing news related to timber smuggling from a community forest in Southern Lalitpur. The news was published in Nagarik daily on May 2.
Head of Saraswoti Community Forest Conservation Committee, Raj Kumar Shrestha, and his associates had threatened the journalist after Forest Minister wrote a letter to the Conservation Committee regarding the issue.
Ghimire has informed Metropolitan Police about the threat.
