A bomb exploded last night on the premises of Barahi Higher Secondary School, a polling centre for ward no 6 in Lakeside of Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City. An unidentified group had hurled the bomb from outside across the wall at midnight, said the Baidam Ward Police Office. Police suspected that the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist cadres may have been involved in the incident. No human casualties were reported but the explosion has managed to instill fear among the locals. Police are searching for those involved in such anti-election activities.
