An IED was recovered near the house of a NC candidate for the ward member of Melamchi-9 in Sindhupalchok district on the same day. Police suspect that the members of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal may have planted the IED to disrupt the elections taking place on Sunday.
