Vote counting in Bharatpur NP ward number 9 has been halted due to picketing by dissatisfied group of CPN-MC and Nepali Congress claiming that vote counts differed between manual and computer generated results. They accused the Election Commission of making mistakes in counting votes. Representatives of CPN-MC and Nepali Congress demanded recounting the votes of Bharatpur ward number 9 when the news of CPN-UML panel winning the election was made public. Consequently, CPN-MC and NC started picketing against due to which vote count was halted on May 19. According to report,the parties also engaged in fierce arguments. भरतपुर महानगरपालिकामा मत गणना स्थगित गरिएको छ । दलका प्रतिनिधिहरुको मत संख्या र कम्पुटरबाट प्रकाशित मत संख्यामा पटक पटक फरक आएको भन्दै मत गणना कार्य स्थगित गरिएको कांग्रेस तथा माओवादीका प्रतिनिधिहरुले बताएका छन् । निर्वाचन आयोगले मत जोड्दा त्रुटी गरेको भन्दै माओवादी र कांग्रेसले विरोध जनाएपछि मतगणना स्थगित भएको हो । भरतपुर महानगरपालिका वडा नम्बर ९ एमालेका यमलाल कँडेल प्यानल सहित विजयी भएको समाचार बाहिर आएपनि नेपाली कांग्रेस र नेकपा माओवादी केन्द्रले भरतपुर महानगरपालिका वडा नम्बर ९ को मत गणना पुन गर्नुपर्ने बताएपछी शुक्रबार साँझ मत गणना स्थगित गरिएको हो। यसै विषयमा एमाले सहितका दलका नेताहरुले त्यो कुरालाई नमाने पछि चर्काचर्की भएको थियो।
