Vote count disrupted

Gandaki, Kaski, Pokhara Lekhnath

The Election Commission has instructed the concerned officials at Pokhara polling centers to resume the vote counting that has been halted since Saturday. The vote count had been stopped after swastika marks in some ballot papers from Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan-17 were found to be of different sizes. An all-party meeting on Sunday had decided to consult with the EC regarding the matter. The EC has instructed the vote-counting officials to continue the process by approving the ballot papers with larger swastika marks if it contains the proper signature of the polling officer.
