Parsa/May 26 Rabita Devi, 21, wife of Jayram Mukhiya Bin of Bairiyabirta VDC-6 has been killed by her family members on May 25. The police said that the dead body of Rabita Devi was recovered at her home. Police suspected that she might have been hanged to death. Inspector Purushottam Pandey said that the family members absconded after the locals informed the police about the killing that occurred at home. Originally hailing from Basantpur, Rabita Devi was married to Jayram four months ago. Rabita’s father Bunilal Mukhiya Bin claimed that his daughter was killed because of the dowry. He said that Rabita had been tortured by the family members for bring lesser dowries. The body has been sent to Narayani Sub-regional Hospital for postmortem.
