Police have arrested district in-charge Pushpa Bhattarai alias Trilochan of Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikra Chand on June 5 on charge of his involvement in anti-election activities in the district. DSP Mahendra Kumar Shrestha of DPO Ilam Said that he was arrested after he was found guilty on operating anti-election activities along with removing local level offices signboards. Prior to this, police had arrested Jharendra Baral, Om Prakash Gharti, Salu Budathoki and Dhan Bahadur Magar of the same party on charge of anti-election activities.
