Police have arrested 12 cadres of Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand on June 7 on charge of performing anti-election activities in the district. The cadres were arrested while they were on a meeting at Mandabi Village Council-1, Tiram according to the party. The arrestees were Rapti bureau in charge Subash Bathamagar, central member Bandhu Chand including Ashal Khadka. The names of other cadres have not been identified however they are charged for operating anti-election activities according to DSP Ranjeet Singh Rathaud of DPO. नेत्रविक्रम चन्द नेतृत्वको नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टीका १२ जना नेता तथा कार्याकतालाई प्रहरीले जेठ २४ गते गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । माण्डवी गाउँपालिका-१ तिराममा पार्टी कमिटीको बैठक बसिरहेको बेला प्रहरीले गिरफ्तार गरेको नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टीले जनाएको छ । गिरफ्तारमा पर्नेहरूमा पार्टी केन्द्रिय सदस्य तथा राप्ती व्युरो इञ्चार्ज सुवास बाठामगर, केन्द्रिय सदस्य बन्धु चन्द र असल खड्कालगायत नेता तथा कार्यकताहरू गिरफ्तार परेको पार्टीले जनाएको छ । गिरफ्तार पर्नेहरूको नाम पहिचान नभए पनि चुनाव विरोधी गतिविधि भइरहेको सूचनाका आधारमा १२ जनालाई गिरफ्तार गरेको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका डिएसपी रञ्जितसिंह राठौरले बताए । गिरफ्तार परेकाहरूलाई सदरमुकाम खलङ्गा ल्याउने तयारी भइरहेकोले सो पछि मात्र नाम, ठेगाना र पद पहिचान हुने डिएसपी राठौरले बताए ।
