Assistant Sub-inspector of Traffic police Tula Mani Acharya physically assaulted junior policeman Umesh Puri after returning to his office in Biratnagar after duty. The victim Umesh Puri has sustained injuries on his face and body. The reason behind such an act of Acharya is unclear. According to Puri, accused Acharya started verbally abusing him as soon as he entered office and beat him. Puri also said that inspite of reporting the incident to authority, there was no action yet. Previously, actions were taken against Acharya for harrassing general public. ट्राफिक प्रहरीका असई तुलामणि आचार्यले प्रहरी जवान उमेश पुरीमाथि निर्घात कुटपिट गरेका छन् । घटना जिल्ला ट्राफिक प्रहरी कार्यालय बिराटनगरको हो । पिडित पुरीका अनुसार असई आचार्यको कुटाईबाट मुख तथा जिउमा चोट लागेको छ । असई आचार्यले प्रहरी जवान पुरीलाई बिना कारण कुटपिट गरेपछि तल्लो दर्जाका प्रहरीहरुले असुरक्षित महसुस गर्न थालेका छन् । ड्युटी सिध्याएर कार्यालय आएको बेला असईले गाली गर्दै आफुलाई बक्सिंगले हानको बताएका छन् । 'कार्यालय आउनासाथ अश्लिल गाली गर्दै ममाथि कुटपिट भयो'पुरीले भने। उनले आफ्ना कार्यालय प्रमुखलाई घटनाको बारेमा जानकारी गराए पनि कुनै कारबाही नभएको बताए । कुटपिट गर्ने असई आचार्य यसघि सर्वसाधारणलाई दु:ख दिएको प्रमाणित भएपछी कारवाहीमा परेका थिए ।
