INSEC Abducted Boy Rescued, Captors Made Public

Sindhupalchok/November 8 Police have rescued Suraj Sah, 8, of Bahrabise bazaar from a jungle in Marming VDC-8 on November 7. The boy was abducted from Bahrabise bazaar by armed groups on November 5 evening. The abductors had called the victim's father over phone on November 6 and demanded Rs 500,000 ransom for his release. A permanent resident of Motihani, India, his father Bijay Sah has been running business in the Bahrabise bazaar since 15 years. Inspector Kumar Pandit of the area police office Marming said that a police team rescued the boy after his father provided Rs 200,000 to the captors in the jungle. He added that the group kept vigil on the police team and released the boy. Meanwhile, police have arrested the abductors – Chedan Lama, 22, of Marming VDC-4 and Gyan Bahadur Tamang, 23, of Gati VDC-4 while trying to leave for Kathmandu in a car from Marming VDC-9 on November 7 evening. Police arrested the duo following a tip-off and tracing the mobile phone used in the incident. Making them public in a press meet at Chautara, DSP Basant Kumar Lama of the district police office said that one khukuri, Rs 1,93,703 and three mobile sets were recovered from them. N
