A vehicle belonging to Nepali Congress (NC) mayoral candidate in Nepalgunj Sub Metropolis was vandalized Tuesday morning. The Scorpio SUV (Ba 14 Cha 1387) which was returning to the party's liaison office after leaving NC candidate, Dr Suresh Kanodiya, at a door-to-door election campaign at Puraina in ward no 22 was vandalized at the Tribhuvan intersection. Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJP-N) leader Lalit Kumar Rauniyar pelted the vehicle with stones at the intersection. Police have taken Rauniyar under detention. Dr Kanodiya has urged all the political parties to avoid violence and vandalism during the elections. "Join the healthy competition, it is the responsibility of all the parties to hold the elections in a fearless environment, the people will vote the person they like," he said.
