Cadres of the agitating Rashtriya Janata Party Nepal in Friday set fire to election related documents that were in possession of election officer of Pipara Rural Municipality. When Election Officer Lekhnath Luitel was about to leave the office of Pipara Municipality of Jaleswor, cadres of RJPN looted the documents at Parikauli Chowk of Janakpur-Jayanagar road section. According to him, at 7:30 am RJPN cadres stopped Luitel who was on a motorcycle and looted documents. The documents included election directives, election regulations, election code of conduct among other things. The party had called a general strike on Friday against governments decision to hold local election in the tarai.
