Bardiya/May 30 A 12-year-old girl has told local women rights activists that she was raped by Mahesh Tharu, 29, of Dhadhawar VDC. The girl had gone to her aunt’s house with her elder brother and grandmother to get mangoes. On their return, the accused offered her a ride to home on his bicycle. The girl’s father said the accused took her to a field and then raped her and later brought her home at around 10 pm. DSP Yamuna Rajak informed that the accused had been arrested. She added that the girl was sent to Nepalgunj for medical check up because there was no doctor available at Bardiya District Hospital. Man Bahadur Chaudhary बर्दिया । जेठ १६ गते एक १२ वर्षीया बालिकालाई धधवार गाविसका २९ वर्षीय महेश थारुले खेतमा लगेर बलात्कार गरेको पीडितले स्थानीय महिलाअधिकारकर्मीहरू समक्ष बताएकी छिन् । आँप लिन दाजु र हजुरआमासँग फूपुको घरमा गएकी बालिकालाई फर्कने क्रममा दाजुका साथी समेत रहेका चौधरीले बलात्कार गरेका हुन् । बालिकाको फुपुको घरबाट साइकलमा चढाई ल्याएका थारुले खेतमा लगेर बलात्कार गरी राती १० बजे घर पुर्‍याएको पीडित बालिकाका बुवाले बताए । आरोपित थारुलाई जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयले गिरफ्तार गरेको का डीएसपि यमुना रजकले जानकारी दिए । उनले जिल्ला अस्पतातमा डाक्टर नहुँदा अस्पताल मार्फत परीक्षणको लागि नेपालगञ्ज आवश्यक नमुना पठाइएको बताए । घटनाको अनुसन्धान भइरहेको डीएसपी रजकले वताए । मानबहादुर चौधरी
