Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand has demonstrated in front of the Indian Embassy in Nepal on Monday to protest the suppression of Nepali speakers in Darjeeling, India. Leaders and cadres of the party reached Lainchour to protest against use of force on Nepali speakers in Darjeeling by the West Bengal government. "We have demonstrated in Lainchour to protest the suppression of Nepali speakers in Darjeeling ," Chand's aide Sudarshan Mongol told Setopati. Nepali speakers in Darjeeling are protesting the decision by Mamta Banerjee government in West Bengal to make study of Bengali language mandatory in the schools there. Many protesters have been killed by the security persons and the government has deployed army after escalation of violence. दार्जीलिङमा दमन गरिएको भन्दै विप्लव नेतृत्वको नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टीले भारतीय दूताबास अगाडि विरोध प्रदर्शन गरेको छ । नेकपाका नेताहरु धर्मेन्द्र बास्तोलाको नेतृत्वमा जुलुससहित लैनचौर पुगेका थिए । विरोध प्रदर्शनपछि आयोजित कोणसभालाई सम्बोधन गर्दै नेकपाका स्थायी कमिटी सदस्य बास्तोलाले नेपाली भाषी भएकै कारण दमन भएको र यो मानवअधिकारको घोर उल्लंघन भएको बताए । भारतकै अन्य राज्यका जनताले आन्दोलन गर्दा सुनुवाई भएपनि दार्जीलिङमा दमन भएको भन्दै उनले गोर्खाल्याण्डको मागलाई नेपालसँग जोडेर नहेर्न आग्रह गरे । उनले भने, ‘गोर्खाजातिले आफ्नो भाषाको सम्वर्द्धन गर्न किन नपाउने ? नेपालसँग हेरेर किन दमन गर्ने ?’ नेकपाले दूताबासमार्फत भारतीय प्रधानमन्त्रीलाई ज्ञापन पत्र बुझाइने बताएको छ ।
