Banke/June 1 Bishok Bishtha, 9, a grade III student at Bestzone Secondary School in Nepalgunj has fallen ill after severely beaten by his teacher. The act of teacher Poonam Bhandari came to light on May 30 when the boy got fever and taken to the doctor where the guardians saw bruises inflicted by baton on his body. The boy said the lady teacher has hit him 5/6 times on the back and arms with a baton. The grandfather of the boy Chitra Bahadur Bishta said that they had told the school at the time of admission that the boy was a sickly child and was always on medication. RP Gautam the school principle said that the school had a policy of no corporal punishment and that action against teacher was taken by the school. Binod Pandey बाँके । जेठ १८ गते नेपालगञ्जस्थित बेस्टजोन माविमा कक्षा ३ मा अध्ययनरत ९ वर्षीय बालक विशोक बिष्टलाई जेठ १६ गते शिक्षिका पुनम भण्डारीले लठ्ठीले पिटेर यातना दिएकी छन् । यातनाको कारण ज्वरो आएर बिरामी परेर उपचारका लागि चिकित्सककहाँ पुर्‍याउँदा निलडाम देखिएपछि कक्षाकोठामा शिक्षिकाले यातना दिएको खुलासा भएको हो । शिक्षिका भण्डारीले ५/६ पटक ढाड र पाखुरामा लाठीले हानेको पीडितले बताए । पीडित बालक सानैदेखि बिरामी भएकोले प्रत्येक महिना भारतको लखनऊ लगेर उपचार गर्दै गरेको र मासिक १२ हजारको औषधी खुवाउने गरेको बालकका हजुरबुवा चित्रबहादुर विष्टले बताए । उनले विद्यालय भर्ना गर्ने समयमा नै बालकको बिरामीका बारेमा जानकारी गराए पनि यातना दिने गरिएको बताए । यस शैक्षिक सत्र शुरु भएयता आठ पटक लाठीले पिटेर यातना दिइसकेको पनि उनले बताए । विद्यालयका प्रिन्सिपल आरपी गौतमले विद्यार्थीलाई यातनारहित शिक्षा दिने नीति भए पनि शिक्षिकाले कुटपिट गरेकाले आन्तरिक कारबाही गरिएको बताए । बालकका हजुरबुवा चित्रबहादुरले पीडकविरुद्ध कानूनी कारबाहीको प्रक्रियामा जाने बताए । विष्ट पीडित बालकसहित जेठ १७ गते सिविन बाल हेल्पलाइन पुगेका थिए । विनोद पाण्डे
