5 persons were injured during a clash between cadres of Nepali Congress and Maoist Center and Police on Saturday. The clash ensued following a dispute over the vote counting process. Vote counting for Punarbas municipality-1 was halted on Saturday after Nepali Congress and Maoist Center cadres expressed dissatisfaction alleging that fake vote was found during counting and started demonstrating. Five persons including nepal police personnel and temporary police were injured in a clash that ensued. Sub-inspector Dev Bahadur Thalal sustained injury after being hit by a stone pelted by the demonstrators during the clash. According to police source, five rounds of warning shots and 6 shells of tear gas were fired to take the situation under control. Pratap Bahadur Chand of UML and his panel won the election in ward number 1 of Punarbas. The agitated cadres of Nepali Congress and Maoist Center claimed that 113 more than the actual number of votes cast were found during the counting process. मतपरिणामको विषयलाई लिएर तनाव उत्पन्न हुँदा कञ्चनपुरको पुनर्वास नगरपालिकामा प्रहरी र असन्तुष्ट पक्षबीच झडप भइरहेको छ । झडपमा प्रहरी र केही आन्दोलनरत पक्ष घाइते भएका छन् । पुनर्वास नगरपालिका–१ मा फर्जी मत भेटिएको भन्दै नेपाली कांग्रेस र नेकपा माओवादी केन्द्रले असन्तुष्टि जनाएपछि शनिबार दिउँसोपछि मतगणना स्थगित भएको छ । कांग्रेस र माओवादी केन्द्रका कार्यकर्ताले वडा नं १ को मतपरिणामका विषयमा असन्तुष्टि जनाउँदै मतगणनास्थलमा दिउँसोपछि नाराजुलुस गर्दै आइरहेका थिए । सोही क्रममा प्रहरी र आन्दोलनरत पक्षबीच झडप हुँदा नेपाल प्रहरी र म्यादी प्रहरी गरी पाँचजना घाइते भएका छन् । आन्दोलनकारीको ढुङ्गा लागेर प्रहरी सहायक निरीक्षक देवबहादुर थलाल घाइते हुनुभएको छ । प्रहरीले स्थिति तनावपूर्ण बनेपछि बेलुकी पाँच राउन्ड हवाईफायर र छ राउन्ड अश्रुग्यास प्रहार गरेको प्रहरी स्रोतले जनाएको छ । वडा नं १ को वडाध्यक्षमा एमालेका प्रतापबहादुर चन्द प्यानलसहित निर्वाचित भएका थिए । असन्तुष्ट पक्षले खसेको मतभन्दा ११३ मत बढी भेटिएको दाबी गरेका छन् । पुनर्वास नगरपालिकामा कुल १९ हजार ९८८ मत खसेको थियो जसमा ५० प्रतिशत मत गणना भइसकेको छ ।
