Two candidates of Nepali Congress for local level election in Kachankawal of Jhapa have been accused of trying to buy votes by distributing money to the voters. Candidate for president of ward number 3 Pushpa Lal Rajbanshi and local teacher Bhumi Lal Rajbanshi are said to have given Rs. 500 wrapped in the party pamphlet to Khirchan Majhi and Hina Majhi on the evening of June 21st June. As per Majhi, the duo had given the money asking them to have snacks with it and they ran away when he denied to accept it. He has also complained of police's indifference towards filing complaint regarding the issue.
