A 15-year-old girl in Bahudarmai rural municipality was married off to a boy from Inaruwa on April 28 after the girl's parents agreed to her terms and condition of allowing her to continue her study. Sangita Kumari Thakur a 9th grader at the local Nepal Higher Secondary School has been staying with her parents and continuing her study since. She has plans to complete her High School first and then decide accordingly. More often than not in Madhesh girls are married off at a tender age once they are able to read and write due to which they have to stop their education halfway. '
