An on-duty police constable was attacked with a Khukuri (a traditional Nepali weapon) by a man in broad daylight in Bharatpur Metropolis on Wednesday afternoon. On duty police constable Tara Prasad Pokharel was attacked by Dilip Sunar (30) of Chhetrapur in Bharatpur-3 at around 2:20 pm today, said Shiv Sharma Acharya at Chitwan District Police Office. Pokharel has injuries on head and neck area. He is undergoing treatment at Bharatpur-based Chitwan Medical College, added police. Sunar is currently in police custody and further investigation is underway, police said.
