Mahottari/Dhanusha/ June 16 Shailendra Mandal, 49, and Bikas Kumar Singh, 19, of Manara VDC-8 have been injured when shot by an unidentified group on June 16. The motorcycle-borne group opened firing at the duo while they were drinking tea at the tea-shop near their house. According to the District Police Office Mahottari, Singh sustained bullet injury to his stomach and Mandal sustained bullet injury to his right leg. Both are undergoing treatment at the Janakpur Zonal Hospital. Injured Singh has been selected as the Lance Corporal in the Ranabhim Battalion Mahendranagar of Nepal Army while Mandal is an employee at the Jaleswore-based sweet shop. SP Kumar Neupane of the Border Security Office Mahottari suspected that the two might have been shot over a dispute Singh had with two persons in Sirsiya village of India. महोत्तरी/धनुषा । ०७० असार २ गते मनरा गाविस-८ का ३९ वर्षीय शैलेन्द्र मण्डल र १९ वर्षीय विकासकुमार सिंहलाई असार २ गते अज्ञात समूहले गोली हानी घाइते बनाएको छ । घरनजिकैको बजारमा रामदयाल महतोको चिया पसलमा बसेर चिया खाँदै गरेका दुवैलार्इ अनटेष्ट लेखिएको रातो रंगको डिस्कभर मोटरासाइकलमा चढी आएको अज्ञात समूहले गोली प्रहार गरेको हो । सिंहलाई पेटमा गोली लागेको छ भने मण्डलको दाहिने खुट्टामा गोली लागेको र उनीहरूको उपचार जनकपुर अञ्चल अस्पतालमा भर्ना गरिएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय महोत्तरीले जनाएको छ । घाइते भएका सिंह रणभीम गुल्म महेन्द्रनगर नेपाली सेनाको जवान पदमा छनौट भएका प्रतिनिधि हुन भने मण्डल जलेश्वरस्थित राजकुमार मिठाइ पसलका कामदार रहेका छन् । सिंह १० गते सेनाको सिन्धुलीमा रहेको गणमा तालिममा जाने तयारीमा रहेको सीमा सुरक्षा कार्यालय महोत्तरीका सशस्त्र प्रहरीका एसपी कुमार न्यौपानेले वताए । न्यौपानेका अनुसार घाइते सिंहको भारतको सिरसीया भने गाउँका दुई जनासँग झगडा भएको र सोही निहुँमा उनीमाथि गोली प्रहार गरिएको आंशका गरिएको छ । घटनापश्चात सो क्षेत्रमा व्यापक रुपमा नेपाल प्रहरी र सशस्त्र प्रहरी परिचालन गरिएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका एसपी पवन खरेलले बताएका छन् ।
