Makawanpur/ June 18 The District Court of Makawanpur has ordered to keep a woman in custody for investigation on charge of selling a friend to a brothel in India. A bench of District Judge Tek Narayan Kuwar on June 17 decided that Gauri Maya Syangtan, 39, of Hetauda Municipality-9 be remanded in custody on charge of selling an 18-year-old girl of Bhainse VDC-8 in the brothel in India. The accused had sold the victim in India for 30,000 Indian rupees after taking her under the pretext of showing her house in Birgunj 20 years ago. Based on the complaint lodged by the victim at District Police Office Hetauda after one year, the accused Syangtan was arrested after 20 years on May 18. The husband of the accused, Pasang lama, was with her when the victim was trafficked to India. The victim had managed to flee from the brothel after 11 months and lodged a complaint at police against Syangtan and her husband Pasang on January 24, 1995. Pasang is still at large. Pratap Bista मकवानपुर । ०७० असार ४ गते मितीनीलाई भारतको वेश्यालयमा लगेर विक्री गरेको आरोपमा जिल्ला अदालत मकवानपुरले एक महिलालाई पुर्पक्षका लागि थुनामा राख्न आदेश जारी गरेको छ । जिल्ला न्यायाधीश टेकनारायण कुँवरको ०७० असार ३ गतेको इजलासले भैँसे गाविस-८ की एक युवतीलाई भारतको वेश्यालयमा बिक्री गरेको आरोपमा हेटौँडा नगरपालिका-९ की ३९ वर्षीया गोरीमाया स्याङतानलाई थुनामा राख्ने आदेश गरेको हो । स्याङ्तानले १८ वर्षीया एक युवतीलाई २०५० माघ १० गते बीरगन्जमा घर हेर्न जाउँ भनेर फकाएर वीरगन्ज हुँदै भारत लगेर ३० हजार भारुमा बिक्री गरेकी थिइन् । पीडित युवतीले बिक्री भएको एक वर्षपछि जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय हेटौँडामा दिएको उजुरीको आधारमा प्रहरीले स्याङ्तानलाई २० वर्षपछि गत महिनाको ४ गते गिरफ्तार गरेको हो । बीरगञ्ज पुर्‍याएर ती युवतीलाई लठ्याउने औषधी खुवाएर भारतको बर्म्बईको कोठीमा पुर्‍याएर बिक्री गरेको उजुरीमा उल्लेख छ । उनलाई वीरगञ्ज लैजाँदा गोरीमायाको पति पासाङ लामा पनि साथमा थिए । भारतको वेश्यालयबाट ११ महिनापछि भाग्न सफल ती युवतीले मितिनी गोरीमाया र पासाङको विरुद्धमा २०५१ चैत ३० गते प्रहरीमा उजुरी दिएकी थिइन् । त्यही उजुरीको आधारमा प्रहरीले गोरीमायालाई गिरफ्तार गरेको हो । पासाङ लामा फरार छन् । प्रताप विष्ट
