Six women rescued from India

Six Nepali women were rescued from Rudrapur, Uttarakhand of India according to RSS. All six women from Sindhupalchok were being trafficked in India through the western border of Gaddichok pretexting them of a good job. They were rescued by Maiti Nepal, Kanchanpur in coordination with the anti-human trafficking unit of Banbas. Indian police from Rudrapur had informed Maiti Nepal and the anti-human trafficking unit after these women were attempted to be trafficked in a third country through India. Police have confiscated passport and other paper works from the victims. The rescued women are aged from 20-25 according to coordinator Maheshwori Bhatta of Maiti Nepal, Kanchanpur. Meanwhile, a case has been lodged at court against three people involved in human trafficking according to coordinator Bhatta. According to her, the complaint against Nani Maya Majhi of Tadi Sindhuli, Bishnu Lopchan of Parsa, and Som Bahadur Gole of Sindhupalchok has been lodged.
