Tehrathum/July 6 Police have arrested Dhruba Gautam, 51, the priest of Krishna Pranami Orphanage and Old Age Home on July 6 on charge of trying to rape a 3-year-old girl a day earlier. He was arrested after the locals complained to the police after learning about his attempt to rape her after alluring her to the Orphanage. Hailing from Chandranigahpur in Rautahat, Gautam was working as the priest for the past five years. District Police Office said that Gautam was held in the custody and that the investigation was going on. Gautam has also sustained injuries when beaten by the angry locals. He was treated at the District Hospital.
