A bomb exploded at the residence of Nepali Congress’ election candidate Himal Karki of Udayapur district Provincial Constituency No. 1 (Kha) on Monday night. An unidentified group had planted a powerful bomb at the residence of Karki, the former president of Nepali Congress, Udayapur, in a space between his kitchen room and cow shed in Chuhade, Bhantabari of Triyuga Municipality-7. The bomb exploded breaking one of the walls of the kitchen and cracking another one, at around 2:30 am today, according to police. No casualties have been reported. Nonetheless, a cow and a buffalo have suffered serious burns on their bodies. A team deployed from the District Police Office, Udayapur, reached the incident site to investigate. Police have alleged that the cadres of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist may have involved in the bomb attack. Meanwhile, the search is on for the culprits involved in the attack, informed police. उदयपुर काँग्रेसका पूर्व जिल्ला सभापति हिमाल कार्कीको त्रियुगा नगरपालिका, भाण्टावारीमा रहेको घरमा आज बिहान वम बिस्फोट भएको छ । निर्वाचन क्षेत्र नम्वर १ प्रदेश सभा ख का प्रत्यक्ष तर्फका उम्मेदवार समेत रहेका कार्कीको घरमा बिहान पौने ३ वजे शक्तिशाली वम विस्फोट भएको हो । विस्फोटबाट एउटा भैसी र गाई घाइते भएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । उम्मेदवार कार्की लक्षित विस्फोटमा मानवीय क्षति भने नभएको प्रहरी उपरिक्षक नवराज भट्टले वताउनुभयो । बिस्फोटन भएको समयमा उम्मेदवार कार्की घरमै सुतिरहेका थिए । बिस्फोटको आवज सुनेपछि स्थानीय त्रसित छन । प्रतिनिधि र प्रदेश सभालाई विथोल्ने तत्वले उम्मेदवार लक्षित विस्फोटन गराएको जिल्लामा यो दोस्रो पटक हो । यसअघि निर्वाचन क्षेत्र नम्वर २ का प्रत्यक्ष तर्फका प्रतिनिधि सभा सदस्य उम्मेदवार सुरेश राई(हिमाल) लाई लक्षित गरि उदयपुरगढी गाउँपालिकाको नरेटारमा साता अघि बिस्फोट भएको थियो । बिस्फोट गराउने समुहको व्यपाक खोजी भईरहेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ ।
