A bomb went off near the house of Nepali Congress Kanchanpur Constituency No. 3 parliamentary polls candidate Ramesh Lekhak in Bhimdatta Municipality on Monday night. No human casualties or property loss were reported however, the police said. An improvised explosive device (IED) place near the house belonging to NC candidate Lekhak at Bhansi, exploded last night, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyan Bahadur Setti. The search is on for the offender involved in the incident, said police. Meanwhile, issuing a statement, NC’s former Kanchanpur district working committee secretary Bhojraj Bohara condemned the attack, and has demanded strict action against the culprits. Likewise, an IED was hurled at a vehicle carrying a left alliance candidate Khagraj Bhatta in the district on Monday night. No human casualties were reported however, said the police, adding that the vehicle suffered a minor damage. Bhatta was returning after addressing an election campaign when the bomb was thrown at his vehicle. नेपाली काँग्रेसका नेता एवं कञ्चनपुर निर्वाचन क्षेत्र नं ३ का प्रतिनिधिसभाका उम्मेदवार रमेश लेखकको भीमदत्त नगरपालिका भाँसीस्थित घर नजिकै गएराति बम विष्फोटन गरिएको छ । बम विष्फोटबाट घरमा कुनै प्रकारको क्षति नभएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय कञ्चनपुरका प्रहरी नायब उपरीक्षक ज्ञानबहादुर सेटीले बताए । बम बिष्फोटन गर्ने कार्यमा संलग्नहरुको खोजी कार्य शुरु गरिएको उनले बताए । नेपाली काँग्रेसका पूर्व कञ्चनपुर जिल्ला कार्यसमिति सचिव भोजराज बोहराले नेता लेखकको घर नजिकै बम बिष्फोटनको घटनाको भत्र्सना गरेका छन् । उनले आपराधिक क्रियाकलापमाथि तत्काल नियन्त्रण गर्न मागसमेत गरे। यसैबीच, चुनावी कार्यक्रम सकेर फर्कँदै गरेका वाम गठबन्धन डडेल्धुराका प्रतिनिधि सभाका उम्मेदवार खगराज भट्टको गाडीलाई लक्षित गरी गएराति ९ बजे बम प्रहार गरिएको छ । बम प्रहारबाट गाडीमा सामान्य क्षति पुगेपनि उम्मेदवार भट्टसहित गाडीमा सवार सबैजना सकुशल रहेको बताइएको छ ।
