Rukum/July 15 Three persons, including Maoist State Committee member Mahendra Buda has been arrested on charge of beating police constable Dipendra Singh, 36, of the District Police Office (DPO) at a restaurant in Khalanga on July 14. Police arrested owner of the restaurant, Maoist State Committee member and a youth for their involvement in the incident. The main accused YCL district member Youban is at large, according to police. Singh was attacked when he reached the newly operated restaurant. The District Hospital said that Singh received 55 stitches to his head. The hospital has referred him to Nepalgunj on July 15 saying that he sustained serious injury to his head in the attack. Police said that search for the assailants affiliated with Sisne Himal Bus and Minibus Entrepreneurs Committee was underway.
