At least four cadres of the CPN-UML were held with sample ballot papers and cash amounting too Rs 300,000 from Pokhariya of Parsa on Wednesday. Area Police office Pokhariya Inspector Subash Budhathoki said the UML cadres were held near Krishna Petrol Pump in Pokhariya. However, police have not made public their identities. As the UML cadres were held with cash as well as ballot papers, it is suspected that they might have intended to influence voters by giving money during the silence period. The investigation is on run.
