Khotang/ July 29 Goramani Rai, 37, of Khartamchha VDC-9 has been arrested by the police from Diktel Bazar on July 29 on charge of severely beating his wife Jaya Laxmi Rai, 39, Inspector Ramesh Kumar Dev of District Police Office said. Jaya Laxmi had lodged a complaint against Goramani at District Police Office, accusing him of severely beating her on July 20. She further complained that the accused threatened to kill her. The victim received treatment at District Health Office in Diktel. The accused has been arrested for the further investigation, according to the District Police Office.
