District Land Revenue Office of Kailali today suspended two of its employees for reportedly being involved in a drunken brawl with fellow staffers from the District Land Survey Office over share of bribe money a few days back. . The suspended LRO staffers are Purnananda Bhatta and Gyanendra Ojha. “They'll be suspended till the investigation is over,” said LRO Chief Manohar Shrestha.. On Thursday, a clash had erupted on the premises of District Land Revenue Office between two groups of employees from the revenue office and land survey office. The six, while at a booze party, had fallen out with each other and came to fisticuffs after they disagreed on sharing the bribe they had collected from service seekers over the past few days. Reportedly, staff at the two offices were hand-in-gloves making extra buck in return for helping out with work ‘easily'. . Land Survey Office Chief Dayananda Joshi expressed helplessness with regard to taking ‘stern' action against the depraved staffers. “What can we do other than ask them for clarification?” he said. Meanwhile, a probe panel has been formed to investigate the matter. “As of now, all of them have been fined 1,000 rupees each for their unethical behaviour on office premises,” said Chief District Officer Govind Rijal, adding that the probe panel formed under the leadership of legal officer Lokmani Pande would furnish its report in a week's time. “We called the office chiefs concerned to learn about the matter; now it rests upon them whether they want to take departmental action against the staffers,” the CDO said. . Accepting the summons of the DAO, both the office chiefs had presented themselves at the administration today, where they described the incident as normal and caused by consumption of alcohol. As for the injured one, the chiefs maintained that he was injured when he tripped over, not while engaged in the brawl, as reported. . Interestingly, earlier, an employee at DLRO had called the police saying there had been a fight between employees and one had been seriously injured. Following the call, police had reached the site and arrested the six employees involved in the fight. . हाकाहाकी घूस लिने कैलाली मालपोत र नापी कार्यालयका केही कर्मचारीबीच रकम बाँडफाँटको विषयलाई लिएर कार्यालयभित्रै कुटाकुट भएको छ । कुटाकुट हुँदा एकजना सख्त घाइते भएका छन् । प्रहरीले कुटपिटमा संलग्न ६ जनालाई नियन्त्रणमा लिएर छाडेको छ । बिहीबार कार्यालय समयमै कर्मचारीबीच घूस रकम बाँडफाँटका विषयमा कुटपिट भएपछि प्रहरीले ६ कर्मचारीलाई पक्राउ गरेको थियो । ‘मालपोत कार्यालयकै एक कर्मचारीले खबर गरेपछि प्रहरीले पक्राउ गरेको हो,’ कैलालीका प्रहरी उपरीक्षक विनोद घिमिरेले भने, ‘पक्राउ परेका सबै कर्मचारीले मदिरा सेवन गरेका थिए ।’ प्रहरीका अनुसार पक्राउ परेका कर्मचारीमध्ये पूर्णानन्द भट्टको दायाँ हात भाँचिएको छ । सँगै जोडिएका मालपोत र नापी कार्यालयमा कुटाकुट हुन थालेको जानकारी पाएपछि वडा प्रहरी कार्यालयबाट गएको टोलीले कार्यालयभित्रै बियर र रक्सीका बोतलसहित ६ जनालाई नियन्त्रणमा लिएको थियो । प्रहरीका अनुसार पक्राउ पर्नेमा नवीन जोशी, पूर्णानन्द भट्ट, महादेव जोशी, वीरेन्द्र सिंह, सागर कुँवर र ज्ञानेन्द्र ओझा छन् । यीमध्ये नापी र मालपोतका कर्मचारी को–को हुन् भन्ने पूर्ण खुलेको छैन । ‘कुन कर्मचारी कुन कार्यालयको भन्ने जानकारी हुन सकेन,’ वडा प्रहरी कार्यालय प्रमुख रामबहादुर चन्दले भने, ‘कार्यालय कम्पाउन्ड भित्रैबाट मदिरा अत्यधिक सेवन गरेको अवस्थामा प्रहरीले पक्राउ गरेको हो ।’ पक्राउ परेकामध्ये कुटपिटबाट हात भाँचिएका भट्टलाई उपचारका लागि नेपालगन्ज रिफर गरिएको पनि चन्दले जनाए । पक्राउ परेका कर्मचारीसँग घूस रकम लिएको लाखौं रुपैयाँ रहेको मालपोत कार्यालयका एक कर्मचारीको दाबी छ । ती कर्मचारीले भने, ‘एक सातासम्म उठेको रकमका विषयमा कुरा नमिलेका कारण कुटाकुट भएको हो ।’ उनका अनुसार नापीका २ र मालपोतका ४ कर्मचारी हुन् । होलीका दिन मालपोतको एउटा कोठामा बियर र मदिरा सेवन गर्दै हिसाबकिताब गर्न थालेपछिनापीका कर्मचारीले उठाएको घूस रकमदिन नमानेपछि कुटाकुट भएको कर्मचारी स्रोतको भनाइ छ । ‘मदिरा सेवन गरेका कर्मचारी पक्राउ परेको जानकारी पाएको हुँ,’ प्रजिअ गोविन्द रिजालले भने, ‘कारबाहीका लागि प्रहरीमा पठाइएको हो, त्यसपछिको जानकारी हुन सकेको छैन ।’ पक्राउ परेका कर्मचारीका विषयमा प्रहरीले धेरै कुरा लुकाएको मालपोत कार्यालयका एक कर्मचारीको आरोप छ । ती कर्मचारी भन्छन्, ‘पक्राउ परेका कर्मचारीसँग रहेको घूस रकम हिसाबकिताब गरेको डायरीसमेत प्रहरीले लुकाएको छ ।’ घटनाका विषयमा मालपोत र नापी कार्यालयका प्रमुखले कुनै प्रतिक्रिया दिन चाहेनन् । कार्यालय समयभित्रै कार्यालयमै मदिरा सेवन गरी कुटाकुट भएको जानकारीसमेत नभएको नापी कार्यालय प्रमुखको दाबी छ । हाल साबिक नापी गर्ने सेवाग्राहीलाई अनावश्यक दु:ख दिएर नापी र मालपोत कार्यालयका कर्मचारीले दैनिक लाखौं असुल गरिरहेका छन् । यी दुवै कार्यालयमा अनियमितता नरोकिएको विषयमा लगातार समाचार प्रकाशित हुँदै आएको थियो ।
