Police on Monday, March 5, arrested 35-year-old Omnath Kewat and 40-year-old Indrakali Leniya of Siyari rural municipality-7 Marthapur on polygamy charge. Police arrested them on the basis of a complaint filed by Omnath Kewat's first wife Pushpa Kewat, 29 yrs, who on Monday lodged a complaint of polygamy against her husband at DPO Rupandehi. In the complaint Pushpa stated that Omnath brought Indrakali home as his second wife on Sunday evening despite him already being married to her. DSP Dillinarayan Pande of DPO Rupandehi informed that police have taken the accused duo into custody for investigation. बहुविवाह गरेको आरोपमा प्रहरीले सियारी गाउँपालिका-७ मर्थापुरका ३५ वर्षीय ओमनाथ केवट र सोही ठाउँकी ४० वर्षीया इन्द्रकली लोनियालाई फागुन २१ गते गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । आरोपित केवटले २९ वर्षीया पत्नी पुष्पा केवट हुँदाहुँदै इन्द्रकलीलाई फागुन ११ गते भगाएर फरार रहेको र फागुन २० गते साँझ घरमा लिएर आएको भनी पीडित महिलाले फागुन २१ गते जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय रुपन्देहीमा बहुविवाहसम्बन्धी उजुरी दिएकी थिइन् । पीडित महिलाको उजुरीका आधारमा प्रहरीले आरोपितद्वयलाई फागुन २१ गते गिरफतार गरी कारवाही प्रक्रिया अगाडि बढाएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका डिएसपी डिल्लीनारायण पाण्डेले बताए ।
