Police have arrested two persons for attempting to extort Ramsnehi Yadav, the mayor of Brindaban Municipality in Rautahat district, by issuing death threats to. A team from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police captured Mohammad Samsag Alam of Katahariya Municipality and Julfikar Shesh of Rajapur Municipality from the Kathmandu Valley on Monday. They were arrested from the Balkumari area of Lalitpur district, police said. The duo is accused of using death threats to extort Mayor Yadav.
