The activists of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) looted a ward office of Hupsekot Rural Municipality in East Nawalparasi district in the wee hours of Thursday morning. They broke into the ward office of Hupsekot-3 and made off with office documents, a computer, a printer and a lamination machine, according to locals. Pamphlets bearing the name of CPN-affiliated Hupsekot Gaupalika Janaparishan Nepal were also recovered at the scene. Laxmi Pandey, chairperson of Hupsekot Rural Municipality, said that the pamphlets with the name of the CPN were recovered from the office building. “People’s action has been taken to displace the local unit that is under a comprador parliamentary system,” the pamphlets read. The incident comes just days after the CPN issued a letter to the chiefs of eight local units in the district, telling them to resign at the earliest. The incidents of attack on the representatives of the local units have been reported in other places as well. A group of assailants attacked and injured a rural municipality chief in Okhaldhunga on Wednesday while a ward chairman sustained injuries in similar attack in Chitwan on Tuesday. नेत्रविक्रम चन्द विप्लव नेतृत्वमा रहेको नेकपाका कार्याकर्ताले पूर्वी नवलपरासीको हुप्सेकोट गाउँपालिकाको वडा कार्यालयबाट सञ्चार र विद्युतिय सामाग्री कब्जामा लिएका छन् । नेकपानिकट अवध स्वायत्त प्रदेश जिल्ला जनपरिषद् पूर्वी नवलपरासी नवलपुरको नाउँबाट वडा नं. ३ को कार्यालयमा रहेका कम्प्यूटर, लेमिनेशन, फोटोकपी, प्रिन्टर र अन्य कागजपत्र बुधबार राती कब्जामा लिएको हो । परिषद्को नाउँबाट नवलपरासीका दुवै जिल्लामा रहेका स्थानीय तहका प्रमुखलाई राजीनामा दिन पत्रचार गरेर उर्दी जारी गरिएको छ ।जनपरिषद्ले जनताको सुविधाका नाउँमा गठन गरिएको स्थानीय तहलाई महंगो व्यापारको संज्ञा दिदैं त्यसले भ्रष्टचार मात्र निम्ताउने दाबी गरेको छ । जनसत्तालाई सहयोग गरेर राजीनामा दिन प्रमुखलाई पठाएको पत्रमा उर्दी जारी गरिएको छ । हप्ता दिनअघि पूर्वी जिल्लाको नवलपुर क्षेत्रमा पत्र पठाएर राजीनामा गर्न उर्दी जारी गरेका विप्लव कार्यकर्ताले सोमबारबाट पश्चिम जिल्लाका प्रमुखलाई राजीनामा गर्न पत्र पठाएका छन् । पूर्वी जिल्लामा चार नगरपालिका र चार गाउँपालिका छन् । भने पश्चिम जिल्लामा तीन नगरपालिका र चार गाउँपालिका छन् । पूर्वी नवलपरासीमा जनपरिषद्का प्रमुख कुमार ‘सी’ र पश्चिम जिल्लामा करणको नाउँबाट हस्क्षार गरी धम्किपूर्ण राजीनामा पत्र पठाइएको छ । नेकपाका जिल्ला इन्चार्ज पदमबहादुर केसी ‘जुझारु’ ले आफ्नो जनसत्ताले पठाएको अनुरोधलाई बेवास्ता गरेकाले सांकेतिक रुपमा सामान कब्जामा लिएको बताए । उनले सांकेतिक चेतावनीलाई बेवास्ता गरेकामा प्रमुखमाथि अन्य कारवाही गर्ने चेतावनी समेत दिए । पूर्वी नवलपरासी जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका उपरीक्षक दीपेन्द्र जीसीले गाउँपालिकाको सामान लिएर जाने समूहको खोजी कार्य भइरहेको बताए ।
