6 injured in Baglung trishul attack

Six persons were injured when a man attacked them with a trishul, a trident, commonly used as the principal symbols in Hinduism and Buddhism, at Arjewa in Jaumini Municpality-6 of Baglung on Friday. The injured have been identified as Chuna Pariyar, 35, Bhupi Damini, 80, Hari Pariyar, 50, Purnakali Pariyar, 45, Ganesh KC, 37, and Nirmala KC, 32. According to police, Om Bahadur Malla, 30, attacked them with the sharp weapon saying that the god entered to his body. It has been learnt that Malla had gone to the house of Chuna, fortune teller, to show his palm. The incident occurred after Chuna refused to read his palm during night time. The injured have been taken to the Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital for treatment. Police said that they have arrested Malla for investigation.
