Nepal army personnel have defused a socket bomb planted by the TMM at Koiriya tola chok in Batauda5 on January 9. The team of NA from Durga Bhanjan Battalion Kalaiya defused the bomb which was wrapped in a polythene bag.

District police office Bara said that an NA man Kailash Khadka sustained minor injuries while deactivating the improvised explosive device.

Bara-Parsa-Rautahat military commander of the group [Terrai Mukti Morcha] Agni claimed responsibility for placing the bomb talking to mediapersons by phone.
