Mayor of Kankai Municipality allegedly beat up a local on April 10 at his residence. Bharatmani Bhattarai was beaten up by Mayor Rajendra Pokhrel when Bhattarai asked him about the sand and stones piled up at his land in Danabari. Bhattarai sustained injuries on his nose. He had scratch marks on his right hand and bleeding gums. Bhattarai reported that Pokhrel tried strangulating him and hit on his head. कनकाई नगरपालिकाका प्रमुख राजेन्द्र पोख्रेलले भरतमणि भट्टराईलाई मंगलबार ११ बजे आफ्नै घरमा कुटपिट गरेका छन्। कनकाई-१ का स्थायी बासिन्दा भट्टराईले दानाबारीको आफ्नो जग्गामा किन गिट्टीबालुवा थुपारेको भनि सोधीखोजी गर्दा प्रमुख पोख्रेलले कुटपिट गरेको पिडित भट्टराईको भनाइ छ।कुटपिटबाट भट्टराईको नाकमा चोट लागेको छ ।घाँटीमा न्याकेर पोखरेलले भट्टराईको टाउकोमा मुक्का प्रहार गरेका थिए ।भट्टराईको दाँतबाट रगत बग्नुका साथै दाइने हातमा कोतारिएको घाउ देखिन्छ।
