Man in Custody on Charge of Gang Rape

Morang/September 3 Two Bhutanese refugee youths of Shanishchare Camp in Shanishchare VDC-1 have been held in Jail on September 3 on charge of gang rape of two refugee girls, aged 15 and 14. According to Pathari Area Police Office chief Rajan Karki, Kumar Rai aka Damphu, 25, and Rabin Rai, 24, were sent to District Prison by District Judge Hrishi Niraula. The accused were arrested from Sunsari. The victims reported that the accused had raped them on July 30 after taking them from a fair at Pathari VDC-1. Their health check-up was conducted on August 4 at Mangalbare Primary Health Centre in Urlabari VDC-6. The victims filed a complained on August 4.
