Nawalparasi/September 10 Ram Prasad Bhattarai, 28, of Daunne Devi VDC-7 has been arrested by the police on September 9 on charge of attempt to rape of a 6-year-old girl. A teacher by profession, Bhattarai is accused of trying to rape the girl at her home on September 8. He is charged under Public Offence Act. In another case, a teacher Jeeva Pandey, 37, of Prasauni VDC-9, arrested on charge of attempt to rape of his girl students, has been released on bail deposit of Rs 50,000 on September 9. He was accused to trying to rape two students, aged 16 and 17 in a jungle in Shiva Mandir VDC-3 on July 27. The girls filed a complaint at Kawasoti Area Police Office on August 18.
