Okhaldhunga/September 10 District Chapters of FNJ and Press Chautari have condemned the threat against Commander Post daily district reporter Purna Prasad Neupane by the UCPN-M leaders. Condemnation came in separate statements on September 10, Kumbharaj Rai of FNJ Okhaldhunga and Kushal Babu Basnet of Press Chautari Eastern Region. Neupane received threats from UCPN-M leader Nabaraj Khadka for writing a story saying the people recommended by the party as candidates were accused of murder. Neupane has also filed an application at the District Police Office on September 9 demanding security. FNJ has warned that they would launch agitation if action was not taken against the accused.
