Kavre/September 18 Police have filed a case of attempted[ Murder] against CPN-M cadre Ram Pariyar, 24, of Hokse VDC-3 for his involvement in arson of bus carrying passengers to Melamchi from Banepa on September 15. Arrested on September 16, Pariyar is being kept in custody at District Police Office Dhulikhel after the District Court allowed extension of his remand on September 17. Police have also formed two separate investigation teams, led by Bagmati Zonal Police Office and District Police Office, Kavre to search for other people involved in the incident. Zonal team is four-member led by Inspector Sanobabu Baral while the DPO’s four-member team is led by Inspector Basant Rana Magar. The teams will have to submit the reports in seven days. Accused Pariyar is affiliated to CPN-M’s youth organization, Natinal Voluntary Squad. Police say they learnt that there were four cadres directly involved and three supporting. The bus was set on fire for defying the bandh called by 33-fringe parties. The police had held 17 cadres, imposing bandh for whole day. Bho
