Ashmita Tharu, 11 of Bansgadhi Municipality-4 was found dead in the house of 45 years old Durga Bhandari of Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-7, Rajapur where she was working as “Kamlahari”. The victim was found to be hanging on June 12. The victim’s family lodged complaint at Area Police Office of Mainapokhari on June 18 saying that it was a killing. Police have arrested Durga Bhandaru for investigation on a same day. According to the father Muni Ram Tharu of the victim, she sustained bruises over her hands and legs along with some blood spot. Inspector Ganesh Mahatara of Area Police Office of Mainapokhari said that the accused has been arrested based on a complaint lodged by the victim. The postmortem of the body was conducted at District Hospital on June 13 and the body was handed over to the family for final rites. बढैयाताल गाउँपालिका-७ राजापुर स्थित ४५ वर्षीय दुर्गा भण्डारीको घरमा भुण्डिएको अवस्थामा मृत भेटिएकी बाँसगढी नपा-४ अस्नेरीकी ११ वर्षीया अस्मिता थारुको परिवारले छोरीको हत्या गरेको हुनसक्ने भन्दै इलाका प्रहरी कार्यलय मैनापोखरमा असार ४ गते उजुरी दर्ता गराएका छन् । प्रहरीले असार ४ गते नै दुर्गा भण्डारीलाई अनुसन्धानका लागि गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । अस्मिता भण्डारीको घरमा ०७५ जेठ २९ गते भुण्डिएको अवस्थामा मृत भेटिएकी थिइन् । उनी दुर्गा भण्डारीको घरमा २०७० सालदेखि बस्दै आएकी थिइन् । उनलाई पढाइदिने शर्तमा दुर्गाले घरमा ल्याएका थिए । उनी स्थानीय भगवती माविको कक्षा तीनमा अध्ययनरत थिइन् । ६ वर्षको उमेरमा ‘मालिक’को घरमा ल्याइएकी अस्मिता कोठामा फलामको रडमा सलको पासोमा झुण्डिएर मृत अवस्था भेटिएकी हुन् । मृतक बालीकाको बावु मनिराम थारुका अनुसार कोठामा टेवुलको अगाडि घाँटी सलमा बेरिएको, दुवै हात र दुवै गोडामा निलडाम परेको, दुवै हात टेवुलमा राखेको र हत्केलामा फलामको काँटीले ठोके जस्तो घाउ भई रगत बगेको देखिएको थियो । इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय मैनापोखरका इन्स्पेक्टर गणेश महतराले मृतकका बावुले दिएको दिएको उजुरीका आधारमा आरोपितलाई गिरफ्तार गरी कानुनी कारबाही अगाडि बढाएको बताए । शवको पोष्टमार्टम जेठ ३० गते जिल्ला अस्पतालमा गरी थारु संस्कार अनुसार परिवारले अन्तिम संस्कारसमेत गरिसकेको छ ।
