The district court has sentenced Sarajuddin Miya Musalman, 18, of Shivgadh in Kapilbastu N.P.12 to three years in prison for attempting to rape a minor girl. District Judge Ram Krishna Khanal gave the verdict on January 10.

Police had arrested Musalman on September 6, 2011 on charge of trying to rape an 11-year-old girl of Kapilbastu-12.
