An elderly man has killed his son during a feud over inheritance in Kapilbastu. 72-year-old Mohan Barai of Yasodhara rural municiplaity-3 Basantapur Hardiwa severed the head of his son, 50-year-old Tirtha Barai by hitting with a pick on Monday. According to DSP Narendra Karki of DPO Kapilbastu, the elderly man and his son were engaged in a legal battle over land. The elderly man stated to the police that he killed his son in a fit of rage after the later decided to give the land he won from his father through court decision to someone else. Police are futher investigating on the incident. यशोधरा गाउपालिका–३ बसन्तपुरको हर्दिहवा गाउका ७२ बर्षे मोहन बरईले आफ्नै छोराको सोमबार हत्या गरेका छन्। जग्गाको अंश विवाद हुँदा बरइले छोरा ५० बर्षे तिर्थलाई कोदालो प्रहार गरी हत्या गरेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ। कोदालो प्रहारबाट छोरा तिर्थको घाटी छिनाइएको र उनको घटनास्थलमै मृत्यु भएको प्रहरी नायब उपरीक्षक नरेन्द्र कार्कीले बताए।उनका अनुसार ओरापी मोहनलाई जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयले नियन्त्रणमा लिएर अनुसन्धान गरिरहेको छ। जग्गाको बिषयमा विवाद भएपछि छोराले अदालतमा बाबुबिरुद्ध मुद्दा दर्ता गरेका थिए। अदालतबाट मुद्दा जितेसंगै छोरा तिर्थले आफ्नो नाममा रहेको जग्गा अरुलाई दिने निर्णय गरेका थिए। छोराले दैनिक रुपमा मानसिक तनाव दिने र गालीगलौच गरेकाले आफ्नै छोराको आक्रोशमा आई हत्या गरेको प्रारम्भिक सोधपुछका क्रममा खुलेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ।
