District Police Office (DPO), Jajarkot has arrested a person in possession of an illegal firearm, on Wednesday. Police arrested Tilak Sunar from Syala in Bheri Municipality-3 of Jajarkot district. Sunar was taken into custody along with the illegally possessed pistol, its magazine, and four rounds of bullets, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the DPO, Rabindra Bahadur Singh. Singh further informed that the pistol and its bullets were discovered in Sunar’s residence after search operation was carried out by a team of police deployed from the DPO, led by Police Inspector Lok Bahadur Bista, based on a special tip-off. A case has been filed against Sunar at the District Administration Office and he has been remanded to judicial custody.
