Rita Shrestha, 18, of Bhotsipa VDC-1 has lodged a complaint against her husband Ram Bahadur Shrestha on September 22 at District Police office accusing him of beating and expelling her out from the house. The victim was beaten and expelled from the house on September 16. After the beatings, the victim has been living in her parental home at Thulosirubari VDC-4. After the complaint, the police arrested the accused on September 22 in Chautara, according to Sunita Gurung, chief of Women and Children Service Centre. The accused had a love marriage with the Rita, according to the victim’s father Chetra Bahadur Shrestha. N
