Police arrested a woman on July 18 from Itahari-1 on charges of murdering her stepdaughter. Uma Majhi Limbu of Majhitol in Itahari was arrested on allegations of strangulating her stepdaughter 6-year-old Apekshya Majhi on June 15. According to reports, Apekshya was found unconscious in her room on a fine morning and was rushed to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for treatment where she was declared dead by the doctor on arrival. She was arrested after it was found that the step-mother herself had killed the girl. Investigation on the case was underway. सुनसरीको इटहरीमा आफ्नै छोरीको हत्या गरेको आरोपमा एक महिला पक्राउ परेकी छिन्। इटहरी उपमहानगरपालिका-१ माझीटोल बस्ने ६ वर्षिया अपेक्षा लिम्बूको घाँटी थिचेर हत्या गरेको आरोपमा सौतेनी आमा उमा माझी लिम्बूलाई प्रहरीले पक्राउ गरेको हो । गत असार१ गते राति खान खेर सुत्न गएकी अपेक्षा भोलिपल्ट बिहान कोठामा बेहोस भेतिएपछी उपचारका लागि विपी कोइराला स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान प्रतिष्ठान लागिएकोमा अस्पताल पुर्याउनासाथ चिकित्सकले मृत घोषित गरेका थिए । घटनाबारे अनुसन्धान गर्दा बालिकालाई उनकै सौतेनी आमाले घाँटी थिचेर हत्या गरेको खुल्न आएपछि उमा माझीलाई नियन्त्रणमा लिएको इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय इटहरीले जनाएको छ ।
